Job Summary:
The physician will manage patients in an innovative outpatient clinic primarily at 2 RTC locations – Springwoods Village and Fort Bend Medical and Diagnostic Center; this involves direct patient care and supervision of APCs. Candidate will evaluate and treat higher acuity patients in the outpatient clinic setting. This position provides opportunities to apply critical thinking to care for patients that would otherwise seek medical care in the ER.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other assignments, projects and duties may be required:
- Respond to E-consult and order appropriate therapy plans
- Supervise the RTC’s APCs
- Perform urgent bedside thoracentesis and paracentesis
- Place PIV (US guided if needed)
- Perform treatment plan independently
- Coordinate care with other Kelsey Seybold providers, as needed
License and Certification:
- Licensed to practice in state of Texas.
- Required – MD/DO, ABIM certified
- Current prescriptive authority.
- DEA license
- BCLS, ACLS certified
- 1 – 3 years hospitalist experience preferred
- Knowledge and ability to start vascular access and administration of medications preferred
- Must be able to work Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM. No call.
